My top 7 cult horror movies

Look me in my eyes...

Today I would like to introduce you to my favourite cult horror movies.
I am a huge fan of horror movies, especially the older ones, caught my attention.
While the more modern ones do more with special effects and computer animation, the older ones try to creep the shit out of you with music, a good story, costumes and a lot of fake blood.

So let's start!

                             #7 Stephen King's It (1990)
Pennywise the Clown

This movie is definitely the biggest nightmare for every person who hates clowns or spiders.

A horror classic based on a book by Stephen King, the Dad of horror novels.

                             #6 Nosferatu (1922)
Nosferatu

The moment you accidently cut your finger with a knife and realise that a rich count want to suck on it.

The oldest movie in the list. Maybe your first thought while watching this movie will be, 'where the heck is the sound, am I deaf?'. No, you're probably not, you have to read, to follow the storyline, what can be annoying.
This is the first horror movie that was ever made and it's really good.
They try to scare the viewer with lights and music and it works.

#5 Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Oh Nancy

1, 2   Freddy's coming for you.
3, 4   better lock your door.
5, 6   grab a crucifix.
7, 8   gonna stay up late.
9, 10 never sleep again...

A bed eats Johnny Depp and a caretaker is in love with fall fashion.
Nuf said...

                              #4 Psycho (1960)
Showering makes fun, they said...

Norman Bates couldn't even harm a fly, but under mysterious circumstances a woman disappears and the last time she was seen, was in his motel.

This black and white masterpiece from Hitchcock, has no fake blood or color, but a great fly friendly story.

                              #3 Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Family dinner

Nearby everyone is unhappy with the way their faces look like, for example this little boy on the right, called Leather Face. His skin condition makes him feel so insecure, so that he starts killing others to get their faces.

Ok, this movie is more a slasher, but for me it's a horror movie, too. Not to recommend for persons with weak nerves.

                              #2 The Shining (1980)
Twins

Only work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy.
A family vacation, the Torrances will never ever forget...

It's a Stanley Kubrick movie, so it has to be good... And it is. The scarometer nearby exploded. I mean did you see this huge and empty hotel in the mountains?

                              #1  Braindead (1992)
Gras grows fast...

There is this cute guy, who has this mh very special mother, she loves to eat dogs and pudding. Oh, I shouldn't forget to mention the forbidden love story, between the nurse and the pastor and their super sweet child.

Very bloody, not so scary, but really entertaining. My favourite.

Did your favourite make it to this list?
Which other movies should be mentioned?

Thanks for reading!
